The company has received an award for its cutting-edge MIA EASYMILK technology, which combines the convenience of reconstituted freeze-dried milk with the quality of fresh milk in a wide range of beverages, from cappuccinos to latte macchiatos. This technology offers operational simplicity, autonomy, and ease of cleaning while maintaining the quality in cup that is achieved with fresh milk.
According to Juanje Alberdi, General Manager of the Coffee & Payment divisions, the recognition from the leading European Association positions us excellently to advance our expansion plans. We will continue our policy of investing in innovation and design, which has brought us so much joy and prestigious international awards in recent years.
The European Vending & Coffee Service Association (EVA), based in Belgium, is the industry’s reference organization and has represented the interests of the entire value chain of the industry before the European Commission and other relevant authorities since 1994. This year, the awards were presented at the gala held in Bucharest, Romania, coinciding with the EVEX (European Vending Experience) event, which brings together the key players in the vending and Office Coffee Service industry.
In this edition, the awards were divided into two categories: Sustainability and Innovation, with the aim of highlighting products, services, and processes introduced to the market in the last two years. An independent jury composed of European experts and professionals evaluated the nominations. The prestigious Innovation award was granted to Azkoyen, while the multinational Nestlé received the Sustainability award.
Innovation Award
MIA EASYMILK is based on the reconstitution of freeze-dried milk and emulsion through meticulous temperature control and a careful micro-injection process of air, allowing for extraordinary and consistent cup quality, cup after cup, without the need for a steam boiler, adapting to the different tastes of consumers. The MIA Easymilk technology brings benefits to operators and roasters as it contributes to reducing logistical processes by requiring fewer routes to refill the machine with freeze-dried milk compared to using fresh milk. Additionally, it requires less intensive cleaning. Moreover, for the end consumer, this new technology allows the preparation of exquisite drinks with a silky, velvety textured foam and all the flavor of fresh milk.
