The largest trade fair for tobacco and smoking accessories, InterTabac, took place in Dortmund, Germany, from 19 to 21 September, with more exhibitors than ever before. It set new records with five exhibition halls and 11,000 visitors, 40% of whom came from countries other than Germany.

The Azkoyen Group, as part of its internationalisation plan, has established a manufacturing plant in Pereira, free trade zone in Colombia. The plant is the company’s first outside Europe, in line with Azkoyen’s bid for new strategic markets for business expansion. Becoming operative on 25 July, it will be a key operating centre to strengthen Azkoyen’s presence in Latin America.

Trade show after trade show, Azkoyen’s solution to boost operators’ income proves why it is a winner. At Vending Paris, French operators got the chance of discovering the new products and solutions developed by Azkoyen to increase their profit margins.

Future Vending NOW!, organised by Azkoyen with the collaboration of Intel, Telefónica On The Spot, Mormedi and Coges, aims to become a reference point for promoting innovation and profitability in the vending sector.

Once again this year, Azkoyen is attending EU’Vend, to be held in Cologne, Germany, from 19 to 21 September. EU’Vend is staged every two years and is considered the leading trade show for the vending industry in Central Europe, with considerable impact on the sector in countries such as Germany, Austria, Poland or Switzerland. Besides, it attracts trade members from emerging markets in Eastern Europe, like Russia, the Czech Republic or Slovakia, among others.

Azkoyen presents its new website, which focuses on its vending product range and represents far closer contact with operators by applying a policy of information transparency that is new to the sector. Operators can use the website to find out information about the company’s models, the technology used in each product and the accessories available for each range, as well as their technical specifications.

The awards ceremony took place on Wednesday June 19th at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham, alongside the International Vending Exhibition – AVEX 2013. During the gala dinner, which was presented by British comedian Ian Moore, 450 guests enjoyed a very special evening in which Coffetek was awarded the top prize of Best Vending equipment supplier 2013.

Consumption trends in the cigarette market show strong growth in the consumption of fine-cut tobacco for rolling. To meet this growing demand, Azkoyen has developed a new rolling tobacco Vending channel which allow to sell this kind of products in Vending machines.
